UnifyImpact signs the UN Principles for Responsible investment, joining worldwide sustainability movement.

UnifyImpact Becomes UN PRI Signatory, Providing Investors Access to ESG Data, News and Company Information to Help Align Personal Values with Long-Term Investment Strategies

DARIEN, Conn. (Nov. 23, 2020) – UnifyImpact, the newly-launched web-based application created to make data, news and sustainable investing strategies accessible to independent investors, has become a signatory of the United Nations-supported Principles for Responsible Investment.

Just a few short weeks after its launch, UnifyImpact joins the global network of organizations around the world that work together to put responsible investment into practice. The PRI is recognized as the leading global network for investors who are committed to integrating environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations into their investment practices and ownership policies.

“The values of UnifyImpact are closely aligned with the values of the UN PRI and a natural fit for the very practices of sustainable investing that UnifyImpact was founded on,” said Mary Ann Hawley, Founder and CEO of UnifyImpact. “For us, sustainable investing is a movement, and we’re honored to be part of an amazing group of international organizations charging toward a better future for investing.”

The PRI’s network of international investors work together to implement a set of voluntary principles that provide a framework for integrating ESG factors into investment analysis and ownership practices aligned with investors’ fiduciary duties.

UnifyImpact members are empowered to invest in organizations that align with their values and to make mindful decisions with the transparent data provided by the organization. Proprietary metrics for ESG performance are compared to financial performance, as UnifyImpact uses an AI-powered algorithm to analyze company disclosures, media response, social media controversy and NGO research to add layers of accountability to corporate reporting.

“Data has been an ongoing issue for years and needs sorting out,” said Fiona Reynolds, CEO of UN PRI. “Investors continue to say they don’t have access to good data. It is a roadblock we need to remove.”

Both novice and experienced investors can join UnifyImpact for free as the app helps them get transparent information about the companies they are interacting with.
